Family Programs

Bring art alive for your family! Themes for tours and art-making activities change every Sunday. All ages are welcome. If you have any questions regarding these programs, please contact

Family Tours
Docents lead family-friendly tours at 12:30, 1, 1:30, and 2 pm every Sunday. Explore objects through close looking that will inspire your art-making in the studio! No reservations required. NOTE: On April 5th, we will be screeing a special holiday family film in lieu of family tours and studio art-making.

Art Packs
Stocked with colored pencils and sketching paper, art packs will fuel your own independent focused drawing session. Draw for 15 minutes or two hours—whatever your family's schedule allows! Sign out an art pack at the table near the indoor entrance to the Cool Cafe on Sundays 12:30 pm-5 pm and at the main lobby front desk during the museum's other open hours.

Studio Art-Making
30-minute sessions at 1, 1:30, 2, and 2:30 pm every Sunday in Moorman Studio. Experiment with art materials and new techniques during sessions taught by professional art educators. Please sign up for your session at the table near the indoor entrance to the Cool Cafe.

Family Guides: Navigate through our global collections by choosing from a selection of three family guide brochures available in the main lobby. Each guide features art from different parts of the world and offers activities for children and their families to deepen their engagement with the art. Family Guides are generously underwritten by the Hohbach Family Fund.

Art Packs: Sign out an art pack from the main lobby front desk during museum open hours. Art packs are stocked with colored pencils and sketching paper for your own independent focused drawing session.
